Welcome

To Your Advocate

Natalie Doyle is the Lead Independent Advocate at Clear Lines Advocacy.

As Natalie is Deaf herself, she understands first-hand the difficulties faced by our Deaf community when trying to access services and support. Natalie is proficient in both British Sign Language and English; and able to communicate with Deaf and hearing people equally. With vast experience across Education and Mental Health domains, she offers an incredible insight to professionals across multidisciplinary teams.

With a wealth of experience across Public, Private and Third Sector domains. Regularly working between Mental Health Hospitals, Multi-Disciplinary Teams, Court Services and Education, and can be an integral part of both self-elected and Statutory Advocacy service provision for authorities across the North West region.

Natalie has a passion for working with Children, Young People and Adults struggling with mental health and always puts clients at the heart of their care. Sometimes it can be incredibly difficult for individuals to express how they are feeling, this can be particularly true for Deaf individuals. Being able to communicate equally across Deaf and Hearing communities means Natalie can offer tailored support and understanding to everyone, equally, with compassion.

“With a lovely, personable approach, Natalie has a wonderful rapport with service users and mixed professional teams. She puts clients at ease immediately and seems to really be able to help get to the root of problems quickly and calmly. I’ve got no doubt that she is changing people’s lives. If I was struggling with my Mental Health, I’d want Natalie supporting me.” BB (RSLI) – Sept 2023

Throughout her work, you may see Natalie with a trusted team of Specialist Mental Health domain British Sign Language Interpreters. All are ‘yellow badges’ which means they are qualified to the highest level, registered with the National Register of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind people [NRCPD]. Each interpreter has received an Extended Certification Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service [DBS] for working with Vulnerable Adults and Children. Each of the interpreters on her team has Professional Indemnity Insurance in place to insure their professional practice. Natalie employs her own interpreter team directly because this allows her to carry out her role effectively and efficiently whilst ensuring the highest professional level of service. As Natalie operates in specialist domains, her interpreter team needs to be equally specialised and knowledgeable of her role, the services she offers and able to work well with her own clientele.
